The top weekly car at most NOPA tracks is the Modifieds. They are easily recognized by the lack of front fenders and the motor is moved back about 1.5 ft. from its original location. Because of their increased rear weight, these cars tend to be a little "squirrelly" in the corners, but are very fast hitting speeds close to 100 miles per hour.
The Superstocks are the class that is closest to NASCAR. They are to look like production vehicles and are limited to just one 2 barrel carburetor on gasoline. Because these cars are "restricted" it keeps the competition very tight.
Very similar to Super Stock rules with the exception of a truck body instead of a car body. This is the newest class to the NOPA racing circuit and are fast becoming very popular with the fans.
A car that was street-driven and converted to a race car. Limited to what they can do these cars keep this class as an ideal beginner class.
This class must remain completely stock (no modifications to enhance horsepower). Entry level racing.
